Overview

A branch office, clinic network closet or campus building often runs two wired providers and a switch stack that has crept past gigabit. The router in between becomes the bottleneck, and adding a cellular backup means another box.

The Peplink Balance 310 carries two 2.5G Ethernet WANs, one of which doubles as a LAN port with 802.3at PoE+ output, and four 10G LAN ports that step down to gigabit or 2.5G as needed. Router throughput reaches 4 Gbps for 50 to 500 users, with 1 Gbps of SpeedFusion capacity for bonding and failover across both lines.

The chassis is fanless indoor metal with 8GB of storage for Docker applications, powered by the included 54V supply or 12V to 56V DC, and rated 0 to 40 °C. Ignition sensing support and TAA compliance cover vehicle and public-sector deployments.
