Overview

Mid-sized sites that pay for several wired circuits, a fiber line, a cable line and a backup, rarely use them together. Traffic sits on one, the others idle until something fails, and the switch to backup drops sessions.

The Peplink Balance 580 takes up to five gigabit Ethernet WANs plus a USB WAN and puts them behind one 1.5 Gbps router with three gigabit LAN ports. SpeedFusion bonds and fails over between the lines, and Drop-In Mode lets it sit in front of an existing firewall without re-addressing the network.

It ships as a 1U rackmount metal chassis on 100 to 240V AC, rated 0 to 40 °C, with EssentialCare covering InControl management, firmware and replacement.
