What Arrives Ready to Activate

Each shipment carries the device and its starter kit with the power supply. Clover Care, a three-year device protection plan, is offered as an option on every device, and a Clover cellular data plan is offered on the devices that take a SIM. The device activates on a Clover merchant account; a Paygasus rep opens the account with the order or attaches the device to the one you already hold. Shipping, returns, and warranty terms follow the shop's standard terms of sale.

Common Questions

Does a Clover Device Need a Merchant Account to Work?

Yes. A Clover device activates only on a Clover merchant account, and the software plan rides on that account. Paygasus opens the account with the order. The Starter plan carries no monthly software fee for the first device, so a single-device location can run on the hardware purchase and processing alone.

Can I Add a Clover Device to an Account I Already Have?

Yes. Order the device and tell the rep it joins an existing account. The device is activated on the plan already in place and bills the per-device fee on the Clover statement. The rep will ask for the merchant ID.

Which Clover Devices Take Contactless and PIN Debit?

Contactless, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay, is on the Flex, Flex Pocket, Compact, Mini, Station Duo, Kiosk, and Go. The Station Solo takes chip and swipe. PIN debit is on the Compact, the Kiosk payment screen, and the Station Duo customer screen through its virtual PIN pad.

Do Clover Devices Work on Cellular?

The Flex, Flex Pocket, Compact, Mini, Station Solo, Station Duo, and Kiosk connect on LTE as well as Wi-Fi, with Ethernet on the countertop units. The Go uses the paired phone's connection. The Kitchen Display System connects over the location's network. Cellular service is a Clover data plan per active SIM, offered as an add-on on the device page.
