The Ericsson Cradlepoint R1900 is a purpose-built 5G router that delivers persistent, secure connectivity for in-vehicle deployments — fleets, field forces, and first responders. Paired with the Ericsson NetCloud Mobile Performance Service, it connects everything in the vehicle while giving IT remote management, troubleshooting, and analytics from anywhere.

For organizations that depend on mobile teams, the R1900 provides a ruggedized, GNSS/GPS-enabled in-vehicle network that withstands harsh environments while delivering enterprise-class reliability, scalability, and security. With the Advanced Mobile Performance plan it adds threat management, web filtering, application visibility, analytics, and location tracking with cellular coverage maps.

5G embedded, ready to expand

An embedded 5G modem automatically falls back to Cat 20 LTE when a vehicle moves beyond 5G coverage. The R1900 accepts RX30 managed accessories for four extra GbE PoE ports — or four GbE ports plus a second modular modem for simultaneous dual-carrier connectivity — and can even act as a controller for a separate 5G wideband adapter, protecting your investment as needs grow.

Managed and secured through Ericsson NetCloud

Ericsson NetCloud centralizes group policy, reporting, troubleshooting, and analytics, and layers on unified edge security — an application-aware, zone-based firewall, IPS/IDS threat management, and web filtering. Continuous software updates for both router and modem, online training, and live support are included, backed by a hardware warranty for as long as the subscription stays active.
