Overview

An HD2 MBX running CAT-12 or CAT-18 modems can move to 5G in place, keeping its installed wiring and licensing.

The Peplink HD2 MBX 5G Expansion Module carries two 5G modems with redundant SIM slots, rated 3.4 Gbps downlink and 900 Mbps uplink on 5G and 1.6 Gbps on LTE CAT-20. It weighs 1 kg at 22 x 292 x 88 mm and ships without antennas.

EssentialCare plans cover the module, and the same swap procedure applies as on the HD4 MBX.
