Overview

Branch offices, clinics, municipal buildings and retail sites that already run a router or SD-WAN edge need a way to add 5G as a primary link or a standby path without replacing that router. The Ericsson Cradlepoint W1850 is an indoor 5G wideband adapter that connects to the existing router over 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet and feeds it a 5G or LTE WAN, with 2 Gbps passthrough and simultaneous 5G and LTE connections, managed from Ericsson NetCloud.

5G WAN for Any Router or SD-WAN Edge

  • Connects to the existing router over 2.5 GbE, so the router keeps its place and gains a cellular WAN
  • Works as the primary link where fiber is not an option, or as a standby path beside a wired circuit
  • Captive modem mode puts router and adapter under one point of control when paired with an Ericsson Cradlepoint router

Dual 5G and LTE Connections

The W1850 holds a 5G and an LTE connection at the same time and passes up to 2 Gbps through to the router, so a site is not limited to one radio or one carrier path.

Indoor Install and NetCloud Management

NetCloud Subscription and Terms

The W1850 is sold with the required NetCloud Subscription and Warranty on the Essentials or Advanced plan, in 1, 3 or 5 year terms. A TAA option is available for public-sector procurement.
