Overview

Some of the hardest sites to connect have no building at all: a mast at a pump station, the roof of a vessel, a pole at a solar or wind farm. Indoor routers with external antennas add cable runs, weatherproofing and signal loss at every connector.

The Peplink MAX HD1 Dome Pro puts the 5G modem, embedded antennas and dual-band Wi-Fi 6 inside one IP67 metal dome. A single cable carries data and 802.3at PoE+ power to the dome, and the included splitter provides a LAN port with 802.3af PoE output for a device below.

Dual SIM slots, GPS and a -40 to 65 °C operating range suit ports, rail yards and agricultural operations where the router has to live outdoors year-round.
