Overview

Disaster shelters, temporary field hospitals, wildfire camps and polling places open before any wired circuit can be installed. They still need a full site network on day one, with cameras, access points, laptops and ticketing devices running from one place.

The Peplink PDX 5G packs two 5G modems with redundant SIM slots and seven gigabit Ethernet ports, including 802.3at PoE output, into a ruggedized enclosure with dual-band Wi-Fi 5 and internal GPS. Router throughput reaches 2.5 Gbps.

The unit is rated MIL-STD-810H and IP55, and runs on AC, 12V to 56V DC, or an optional 98Wh battery kit. It operates from -40 to 45 °C, so it can be staged at outdoor festivals, gate lanes and incident camps.
